Project Description:
This five-story, Type 1-B data center project includes a fully fitted-out interior and a robust building shell. The interior fit-out comprises offices, restrooms, an entrance lobby, conference rooms, a loading dock, and critical IT spaces (storage, riser rooms, and network rooms). The shell features precast panels, an MCM rainscreen system, and curtain walls.
Scope of Work:
BSPK was responsible for LOD350 modeling of all site utilities, transforming 2D design drawings into an intelligent 3D BIM model. Our scope covered water, sanitary, storm sewer, electrical power, low voltage (telecommunications and security), and fire protection systems. The models served as a foundation for coordination, clash detection, and seamless integration with other trades.
Summary:
Site utility modeling for a large-scale data center demands extreme precision—misalignment can mean costly delays and rework. But at BSPK, We Know BIM Better. Our team ensured a fully coordinated utility network, mitigating potential clashes before construction. Through meticulous modeling and proactive collaboration, we turned a high-risk process into a seamless, efficient workflow.
