Institutional Facility
Project Description:
This historic landmark requires a meticulous laser scanning survey and as-built condition modeling to assess structural damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. The project focused on preserving the architectural integrity while providing accurate documentation for future restoration and reinforcement efforts.
Scope of Work:
BSPK executed LOD 300 ASMEPFP (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) modeling and drafting, integrating point cloud data into a precise BIM model. Our team delivered high-fidelity representations of existing conditions, enabling engineers and architects to strategize effective rehabilitation plans with minimal intervention.
Summary:
Historical buildings present unique challenges, especially when combining modern technology with century-old structures. But at BSPK, We Know BIM Better. Our team expertly navigated irregular geometries, material degradation, and undocumented modifications, ensuring an accurate and data-rich model. By leveraging BIM, we provided a comprehensive digital twin that became the foundation for informed decision-making, securing the future of this landmark.
