Project Description:
The Biobank Facility project involved a 2-story renovation within the Allan Rosenfield Building, transforming it into a state-of-the-art Biobank medical facility. The objective was to upgrade the existing infrastructure to support advanced research and storage of biological samples.
Scope of Work:
BSPK provided LOD 350 plumbing modeling and coordination, including detailed plumbing layout and sleeve layout drawings. We also supported the project with remote coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. Additionally, BSPK delivered a Bill of Materials (BOM) to support procurement and installation.
Summary:
The challenge in this project arose from the need to retrofit a medical facility while maintaining the existing structure and adhering to strict healthcare standards. The tight space and complex plumbing requirements made coordination critical. But at BSPK, We Know BIM Better, so our team leveraged BIM tools to deliver precise models, streamline coordination, and ensure the facility upgrade proceeded smoothly and on schedule—transforming the Biobank facility into a high-tech, efficient space for critical medical research.
